The taupe busks against the chocolate fabric create such a clean vertical line, and I can actually feel my waist narrowing when I lace it up. Wore it under a dress all day and barely noticed the single layer, it's way lighter than my old corset.
Wasn't sure about the single layer at first, but it's light enough to wear through a whole workday without feeling stiff. Only gripe is the laces need a bit of breaking in before they glide smoothly.
The taupe busks do create a nice vertical line and it's genuinely light for everyday wear. That said, the single layer doesn't give as much waist reduction as I hoped, so it's more of a shaping piece than a real cinch.
